About Us
A revival that began in Wales, still burning in Dallas.
We are a branch of the worldwide Christian denomination known as The Apostolic Church — committed to the propagation of the full Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Heritage
Where we came from
The Apostolic Church is an outgrowth of the 1904–05 Revival in Wales, which is commemorated on the foundation stone of its headquarters church at Penygroes, Dyfed, in South Wales.
We believe that the Church of our time ought to resemble the Church of the New Testament — embracing Apostolic doctrine and submitting to Apostolic government, with evangelism and the righteousness of the Kingdom of God as its supreme calling. It is worth noting that we subscribe to Arminianism without any exception.
- 1904
Revival in Wales
The Welsh Revival sweeps the valleys, and the movement that becomes The Apostolic Church is born out of it.
- 1937

The Apostolic Church is established in Ghana, where it grows into one of the nation’s largest Pentecostal denominations.
- 1993
First U.S. assembly
The first Apostolic Church in the United States is formed in the Bronx, New York.

The DFW Assembly is formed as one of the 40+ assemblies that now make up the U.S.A. Area.
Our Purpose
To intentionally bring people of all nations to Christ, and systematically shepherd their holistic development.
Ministry Philosophy
Knowledge is power.
We believe the proverb, and we believe God’s statement in Hosea 4:6 — “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”
A safe haven
We teach our members to reach out to and become a safe haven for the lost and the dying.
The Bible as sole guide
We teach you to rely on and use the Bible as the sole guide of Christian life.
Persevering prayer
We teach you to be persevering in prayer, eschewing the pursuit of personal prophecies.
Redemptive Discipleship
At DFW Shekinah Assembly, we strive to practise what we call Redemptive Discipleship. It centres on the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and his redemptive mission to earth.
We want you to come to our church just as you are, without being judged. Then we will come alongside you and help you, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to experience Transformational Growth by using contextual ways to build you up into becoming more like Christ.
In the process, the mutual indwelling of the Holy Spirit and your human spirit will be intensified and raised to new levels. Consequently, you will come to view Jesus as Lord and obey your Lord out of gratitude for his saving grace — and as an outgrowth of his sanctification, not as a basis for being justified. This will allow you to live a very fulfilling and fruitful spiritual life.
Come check us out during our Sunday church service from 10am to 12:30pm and you’ll find that we’re the church family you’ve been looking for. May God’s presence be with you.
